The Universalist Convention of North Carolina, Incorporated will hold its annual business meeting in the chapel at Shelter Neck on Saturday, October 16, 2004.  It will be hosted by the convention's Executive Board and the morning's session will begin at 10 a.m. sharp.  Registration and fellowship will begin at 9:30 a.m. 

     The program will be "A Focus on the Future" and each society will be encouraged to bring a youth (our future) delegate to the meeting.  We are also encouraging as many active and emeritus ministers to come as possible; they are also able to vote and can bring valuable insight and experience to our deliberations.

     We are hoping that we will have a full contingent of delegates and also as many family members and visitors as possible for attending the meeting or for enjoying other recreational activities while the meeting is in session. 

     This is a great opportunity for folks to come and enjoy (for free) a day of the special ambiance of Shelter Neck with the cost of lunch and refreshments provided by the convention.
     Please announce the annual meeting time in your congregations and start getting people excited again about the convention and about Shelter Neck.  Also, try to get people involved in the officers and board positions.  We need new dedicated workers.
